Now this is cool (posted on Major Nelson): Play from hard drive. Copy your games from the game disc and play directly from the hard drive. Not only will the drive not spin, but load times are quicker, as well. Of course, you will still need the disc in the tray to prove you own the game.

good thanks ortho. Too busy with work to play h3 recently :( we'll hopefully meet in cold storage one evening soon. btw - I'm also looking forward to having full access to the netflix library via the 360... the current selection (though the world's largest) is still somewhat average.

nope, i think you're totally wrong man. clemson is gonna be whupped up on. Saban is a tough coach. I think it'll be a piece of cake. btw, i've gotten my 360 back good as new and renewed my gold subscription (free month). just got a vehicular manslaughter on a ghost (12 splats) the other day. yeah, it was sweeeet

FYI - the ncaa fottbal 09 demo is on the marketplace. maybe you can play as clemson and whip bama, simulating the opening game of the season. ;)

good to hear that Anise still has a job - and good to hear that your 360 got fixed ok too. I've personally been pretty pleased with MS's 360 repair service and what they're doing to ease the RROD pain of some. Goodness only knows what the next evo of the xbox will be. I'm guessing a blu-ray external player and then on to the next version of the 360... my guess is 4Gb RAM, 500Gb HD, Internal blu-ray, and some kick-a processing and graphics power.

Claire is doing great. She's almost 3 months old already and I think she might be teething =/ I recently got back to back promo's at work so I'm supervising now, yeppy! Yea so I work alot more plus I have my new Wii which is pretty fun =) so not much time for the 360. Although I did watch then video of the GoW2 gameplay...got me excited...would be badass to have it on Wii and buy the game and chainsaw lancer for $200 bucks like with GH3, lol. Plus actually doing the motion of chainsawing reverse style...oh and dont forget about curb stomping, hmmmm...would be neat and tiring.

well that sucks - but Microsoft have replaced my 2 RROD machines without any fuss after I called 18004myxbox. Call them if you haven't already. good luck dude.... you should get your replacement 360 in time to pick up a used copy of GTA4.
